I am a licensed Massage Therapist who accommodates therapeutic and relaxation needs through the fusion of eastern and western methods and techniques. In my private practice work I draw upon a degree in Occupational Studies, a BA in dance, the study of somatic practices and a career as a movement professional to help cultivate an intuitive and deeper understanding of the physical, energetic and emotional body across different fields. I greatly care for and value the well being of others. I am passionate about creating a comfortable environment that promotes trust and a feeling of personal safety for the promotion of healing. I am happy to be a part of the Wild Roots community and look forward to helping you reach your wellness goals.
The most common type of massage using soft, gliding, and kneading strokes as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes to the top most layers of the muscles. This is a full body massage that will aid in relaxation, increase blood flow, help lymph drainage, boost the immune system, loosen tight muscles and melt tension.
incorporates Swedish techniques as well as slow, deep guided strokes and firm pressure to reach below the superficial muscles and help relieve chronic tension patterns and pain. This work facilitates healing by releasing contracted areas of muscle and tissue, helps increase blood flow to soft tissues and reduces inflammation.
A custom massage is an opportunity for flexibility and variation within a treatment session. Along with Swedish and deep tissue massage you can chose from other modalities and somatic practices such as myofascial release, cupping and continuum. How these modalities are used, the duration of time and for what specific areas of the body will depend on your wellness goals. The structure for a custom session will be based on a discussion with the therapist keeping comfort and goals as priority.
